I’m trying to determine what type of signage may have been originally used on this Gulf rack. I’ve seen examples of the wire rack ones with the handles and top mount signs and the solid shelf battery racks, but I can’t seem to find any examples online of a rack with these type of shelves. They appear to have mounting tracks on the front and back of each shelf that perhaps some sort of some signage attached to.
It looks like that rack probably only used slide in price strips or one liners for products. It is the same frame as the more common racks used for quarts on each side with the same tray at the bottom but the stubby handles at the top are missing and the slots for the top sign aren't there. Maybe they used them for things like oil filters, air filters, etc. Nice rack...GB
