A few years back Revenue Canada (Our version of the IRS) asked e-Bay to turn over all personal information of Canadian sellers selling more than $20,000 a year. E-bay refused and Rev Can took them to court and Rev Can won. E-bay was forced by the courts to turn over all of the information requested. Rev Can went after and obtained back taxes (income & sales). By law Rev Can can go back 5 years.

I am sure that Uncle Sam and the IRS watched that play out and are following suit.

Not to stir the pot or upset people. I just want to state that there are a lot of things that I am grateful for. Such as law & order, access to medical care, infrastructure and ect. These are all things that we rely on everyday and have come to take for granted. Let us not forget that they are paid through our taxes.
