Dan Matthews' new book "The Fine Art of Collecting & Displaying Petroliana" is now available though Primarily Petroliana Oldgas.com.
140 pages. Tons of color photos. Actual auction results averaged to give real world price values. Photos of reproductions with text to point out differences. Explanations of condition number ratings as well as rarity ratings. Notes on companies and collector's reference.

Excellent book with great attention to detail in descriptions. I was a little dissapointed there were no Firestone signs  but the rest of the book made up for it. Must have for any collector.
The most valuable commodity I know of is information-Wall Street

Very good book, I was very impressed with Dan Matthews grading and rating guide , very easy to understand. and also very good rarity rating guide.
Like T-bird kid said ( a must have for every collector.)

Tire signs are really not consider petroliana.
The book shows and talks about gas & oil signs and globes and oil cans and some rare pumps. and displaying petroliana and also a section on reproductions.

Hood and Kelly Signs made it in the book(rare high dollar ones)....Firestone did pump gas...Not a big deal that they are not in the book because Dan did a great job with the rest.
