Lenses for glass bodies have deeper notches than those for plastic bodies. You run the risk of chipping out the notches or cracking the lens when you put a shallow notched lens on a glass body.
Lay the body flat. Set the lens on it. If the screws have to be angled to get them in, then you're looking for trouble.
