I saw a Skelly Oil "Handy Sandy" sand tube this past weekend at the Peotone Illinois Chigagoland Petroliana swap meet. It was being offered for sale in the booth of Ron Hoyt, one of the organizers of Iowa Gas. You can contact him through the Iowa Gas Web site, http://www.iowagas.com/ .

The tube looks like a grease gun cartridge at first glance.
