I've see the term "Tribute" used in the old car hobby quite a bit these days. Someone takes a more readily-available, lower-priced car and builds it to resemble a relatively rare (and valuable) muscle car "cousin" of the lower-priced car. Some of these builders will change engines, suspensions, interiors, exterior features, and paint to get the car to be like the muscle car. These are called "Tribute Cars".....as in being a tribute to the original muscle car. Some guys in the old car hobby also call them "Clones" of the muscle car. In fairness, I should note that most of these builders will usually say "tribute" or "clone", when advertising one of these built vehicles for sale....emphasis on "usually". John
