Just wanting some ideals on refinishing my tok 300. What type of paint to use or power coat finish, etc.

Most use regular automotive base/clear paint. Powder coating works but body work is more difficult as regular bondos won't withstand the heat of a powdercoating oven....GB

As GB says, Automotive refinishing is easier unless your pump is in excellent shape for Powder coating.

Thanks

It will depend a lot on what you are going to do with the pump. Inside show piece that does not get a lot of climate change or Outdoors in a variety of sun and weather.

For strictly a show piece, I would use a basecoat/clear coat. Powder coat will not adhere to any type of body filler that I know of. If your tins are clean metal then I would use powder coat if the pump is gong to be displayed out doors.

Just my two cents here.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Or just use enamel like they did when it was made. Outside pump though does need better paints.

Looking for Keystone,Pure,Sinclair,Texaco,Sterling and Gulf...Thanks, Brian

It's going to be inside. Not sure of body condition until I start the sanding but most likely it is going to need some dent filled so guess I will paint it.
Thanks for the information. This site has been a great source of information for me. Being my first time redoing a pump I knew nothing. So again thank you to all the members.
