I was cleaning out a basement shop this weekend and found this sign.

the rest of the basement was in shambles, damp, dirty and neglected.

These days whenever I find a sign that is pretty much unused, I think it could be a repop.

So, I put this aside, thinking grandad got it for Christmas or ...?

A while later I was cleaning out some cabinets from the same cellar whae I found a few of these:

Now, I think the sign may be original.

so questions come to mind.

Is this original?

how to tell?

Do the contracts have any collectable value?

thanks

I think the documentation you found supports the theory this is an original piece.

Nice find, it's an original sign. Will be a nice piece for you (and your children) to keep and always remember your grandfather by.
