My great grandfather moved to MT in early 1900's an obtained this pump along the way. Not sure if he ever used it, but it has been in one of our ranch shops ever as long as I can remember. My father gave it to me years ago and I am trying to learn more of its history and what it's value may be. It has a metal top (no globe), but has original glass, 2 porcelain "Indian Gasoline" signs and original pump handle, plus a price plate with "Texaco" embossed on it.

Was it a Bennet 810 or a Wayne model? Where would I look and approximately what year was it used? And what is its value?

Indian Gasoline was a brand of Indian Refining, who was purchased by Texaco. They used Indian as the name for their 3rd grade, cheap motor gas in the 30s. That is likely when the pump would have been used, branded as a Texaco pump like that. Definatly a nice, original patina pump.

Wayne 615 w/ blue cylinder. $1400 or so for the complete pump if no issues (cracked or bb-hole'd glass, etc.). The sign(s) have value as well.

If it isn't rusted away, there's a good chance the pump plates are dated 9/40 at the bottom. Looks like that may have been it's last brand of gas used ?
