Thanks for the pictures,for sure. Seeing Dick in uniform made me laugh out loud because it made me think, if folks on here thought he could be a little cranky,what did the boys on the ship at sea think!RIP

db was a Cook in the Navy...
Anyone who served in the Military; knows that no matter which Branch they served in... There is/was at least one common factor within all the Branches... Whether Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps or Navy.....
ALL COOKS, no matter which Branch of Service they cooked in...

Left yesterday at 4 AM from Filmore Ca. I was just wiped out all day. Sure was nice to see all the old gas people that were there for DB. He had a ton of folks present that really respected him. Warmed my heart thats for sure. Rob tell Leslie we really appreciate her hospitality.

Sounds like a nice guy once you got to know him. I think we only exchanged email twice but he was kind enough to invite me to his home knowing I was going to be in the area. I never did visit but was going to try again this year.

Thanks Rob for pictures and great stories about Dick..I agree that everyday I look for his posts,and the I realize it won`t happen..I still can`t believe he`s gone..!!going to take a long to get over his passing...Always be in my heart!!!!

Thanks Rob. I haven't had a computer for over two weeks and had limited use on my cell phone so didn't look at this catagory. I did not know about the memorial or would have of course been there. Rest in piece my friend, you are the one who got me into this hobby....for better or worse Ray
