I checked my CD that I bought from Scott and I think it is a Texaco Black Border T, Rarity 5 and a value of $500-$650 found on pg 341 . It is the only one I found that said black border with a Gill body, Am I right?. He wants $1500 I think it is too much

Black Boarder T refers to BLACK around the T, NOT the outer Edge.
W/O showing the Front Bottom Edge, I can't tell if Repop or Orig.
Holder ring IS REPOP.

UNTIL PROVEN an ORIGINAL, treat it as a REPOP.

SPEND MORE TIME LEARNING THE DIFFERENCES ON CD.

The most important part to see is the lower edge of globe lens. I'm leaning towards reproduction.

Also lens have notches like a glass body or capcolite lens. And the body also looks like the side of a capcolite (plastic) frame.

Looking for Keystone,Pure,Sinclair,Texaco,Sterling and Gulf...Thanks, Brian

Lens is original and is for glass. Gill inserts never had Black border "T"s by the way only white. Value about $500 retail with a glass frame. Scott B.
