Da - hail with the hail ! Last night I installed jumpers and tested all the letters . Turns out 4 were broken . Took them to the neon guy and he was able fix them all this morning. I waited , shut up , watched and learned while he fixed them , each were cut ,new electrodes fused on , a drop of mercury was added then gas filled, tested and the ends painted . He fixed them all for $50.00 , I asked him if if he will ever sell his business and equipment , and he thinks in 5-10 years he will as he is 64 he told me . Might be a good retirement hobby like he has done. All in all I am happy he fixed me up .

Man I've put off repairing a sign and that's all it takes? And that little time! I need to get that tube replaced sooner rather than later.

Out my way that would have cost $50.00 to $80.00 a letter.

I have had a break or two in a couple beer bar signs. Cost $40-$60 to fix.
Most materials are very cheap. It is the labor time.
I think my neon guy is around the same age and every year talks about selling but I think he loves the art of it too much.

Good deal on the repair. It could have been a lot worse. When I taught high school back in the day we received NEW cars every year for the students to "play with". All were hail damaged.I remembered several years ago when a hail storm messed up a lot of bikes, cars and destroyed singage at Sturgis during Bikeweek. You can view it on youtube... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tZClSpk-BU
Nice sign Travis.
