Ok...long story, but am giving full disclouse. Those of you who know me know I am not very mechanical. Changing a lightbulb is a major accomplishment for me...
Having said that,I have owned this clock for seveal years and it has always kept accurate time...maybe lost 10 minutes a year...Well, the second hand was bent and split on the tip and it rubbed on the minute hand and wore off a little paint.
So, in anticipation of selling it, I took the clock apart, cleaned the glass, trimmed the second hand, and took a black marker and touched up the very small wear spot on the the minute hand. Put it back together, plugged it in and now the hands don't move. The lights still work. Took it apart and put it back together several times..no luck. I don't know if the works need to be cleaned, if I put the hands on wrong or if my mechanical skills have struck again.....
I am certain some of you mechanically inclined guys can figure it out. So....based on that.
