We have a picture of a postcard with a Red Crown / Polarine gas station on it. It's postmarked "Peoria, Ill, Feb. 1932" and the Station / Bar-B-Q place is called the Tumble Inn. We're all from Peoria, and we can't figure out where the Tumble Inn was located. Any help ? Thanks, JukeboxJerry

This link should shed some light on the location.

1937 GMC,
Appreciate your suggestion; these are the "we" people that I am researching for. We're trying to find where the Tumble Inn was located; was it even in Peoria, Ill ?!!

If this was Peoria, it has to be the West Bluff area or even further west. The land looks too flat to be in the river valley.

I lived there until '80, and I agree, it's too flat to have been in the valley. We're really curious as to where it was.
Thanks,

This might be of help. Click on illinoisancestors.org site. Go to Peoria county, then click on directories. They list a 1932 city directory but you can't click on it. You might have to email them the question about the station but they should have the information. Mitch
