Hi, New member here. Southwest was my family's business. I know a little about the company history, but when I worked there we were well into the computer age so I didn't have much to do with the antiques you all are interested in. I'll try to answer questions, but you all probably know more about the gear than I do. Bests

Regards, Jim
I collect gas pump salt and pepper shakers and the plastic coin banks made by AVSCO.

Hey, welcome the group! I'm new myself, and actually joined to hopefully find some Southwest parts. I recently purchased about 6 1/2 Southwest pumps (70/72 Series and Gulf GOC).
Were you with the company when they were headquartered in Austin or Bonham?

Southwest was never headquartered in Austin. HQ was always Bonham (there was an R&D center in Plano in later years -- just software development). Southwest was acquired by Schlumberger, and they had technology offices in Austin. Maybe that's what you were thinking about. While I was there, Schlumberger's Austin offices were in an entirely different division of that company (doing mostly smart cards, as I recall), but I supposed they could have reorganized in some way after I left Schlumberger in 1993.
Edit: Got pix of your new acquisitions?

Sorry about that, I remembered reading in my research that Southwest's headquarters was moved to Austin around 2000-ish, but that would have been after the sale of the company; I guess I didn't even think about if it were still called Southwest.
Here are a few pics of what I picked up:
They all need a bit of work, but this is just my start of getting into the hobby... I purchased my first pump (the GOC) less than a month ago, then ran across the 70/72s while looking for parts for the GOC. Guess I'm a Southwest guy now!
