Hey Everyone,

I am just getting started collectiong and would like your suggestions on the Top 5 must have Oil and Gas signs to start my collection. Just entry level common signs.

Whatever 5 that are in your price range and appeal to you. Everyone has different taste. There are thousands of signs out there. Good luck and enjoy the search.

Yup. I agree with Steve. That's what makes this so much fun. If you see something that you think is cool and it's in your price range... start there. I have some items I really like that are probably of no interest to most people. And beware of fakes!

I agree with Steve as well......
I wouldn't call them the top 5 "must have" signs, but the most common entry level signs are also the most reproduced....say Mobilgas, Standard Red and White Crown plates, GULF plates, PURE.....it's always advised to a new collector to do a lot of research before buying, and if you still have questions, post the sign here for others to give their opinions on.
Have fun, there's a lot out there that will certainly appeal to you!

My first few were just like Darrin said, Texaco, mobilgas, standard, gulf..... but it all depends on what u can dig up and if there in your price range at the time. You will be collecting pumps, oil cans & other rusty junk before you know it!! Chris
