Hey everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on this site... I am hoping that I can get back into a gas pump... at some point soon. Right now, I have a NCR 1082 register I picked up this weekend. It is one that was used in a gas station (Has the dept. roller for Tubes/Tires, Gas, Oil, ect). Well, when I cleaned it, the paint started to fade off the number rollers. I would say repainting/relabeling the numbers is a lot like a veeder root in a way.. I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas to restore the rollers with the numbers and depts, and make them look original again?

Also, if anyone has messed with any of these, the counter/rollers are frozen up, but the buttons work, and the totaler ejects the drawer... But I have got most of the register to function again. Anyone got any advice?
