I have this pump apart now. Only two bolts broke off in the base. I already have those on the way. I've ordered new parts, but I need a two gallon marker. I finally got the rings off the glass and it cleaned up nice and has a pinkish tint. My friend is going to freehand the Texaco on the door for me but there is a decal inside the door and a decal above the ID plate that I cannot read. Any thoughts? Jack Sim I would like to purchase one of your books on this pump and I will lightly clean up my ID tag and post a pic. This thing is so complete it's unreal. I'm sorry if I offend any of you guys for restoring it, and you are 100% right, it's 90+ years of history I'm destroying, but I enjoy the challenge of putting it back as close to new as possible. I've restored several tractors and presently a '69 C-10 my Dad bought new(Duramax upgrade), but this is my first pump, and I want it to come out great.I think the u-shaped pipe inside the glass is nickel plated, so I've got to send it off if that's the case. Thanks fellas' for your input and advice and sharing your knowledge, it is appreciated.

The serial number is 17029, Mr. Jack Sim. For some reason I cannot post any pictures, I'm sorry. My wife tried to post them also, but no luck. I wish somebody could tell me what this sticker or paint work is above the I.D. plate so I can replicate it. Thanks.

Do you mean the round decal above the cast lower front door? I may be wrong but Im guessing that is an "Ethyl" decal.

JimT this sticker or paintwork is yellow tinted, 4 or 5 inches around, 4 or 5 inches below the serial plate on the front panel above the stand. I've got a great picture of it but I can't post it for some reason. Could you show me a picture of one? I can't bring myself to sandblast until I can be sure I can purchase one or replicate one. Thanks.

This is a Texaco pump. I can't find anything on the web that shows what this yellow sticker or paintwork may be. The ethyl sticker is bigger I think by looking at some other pumps on the web.

I was wondering about all the decals stacked on the door...at least they look like decals.

The door has Texaco painted on. I'm supposed to talk with a guy tomorrow that may have worked on this pump at some point in its life. Hopefully he can help out with the round yellow sticker problem.

He didn't remember working on this one, but he remembered seeing it at the store when he worked on the newer pumps there. He is going to look at his manuals on the old pumps and try to figure out what the sticker is on the front under the id tag. A lot of parts came in this week, sooooo, I'm getting excited about finishing it.

I think the decal on the front of this pump is one that says Guarantee Visible and I think I found one. Thanks Jack Sim for sending me your website. After looking at a picture of a 1922 model, I'm pretty sure you can almost make out parts of this decal. Would this be a decal or hand painted on in 1922? It kind of looks like what's left of paint.
