I finally got some of my game room done and I wanted to post a picture since the collectors here at oldgas gave me a lot of help. I have found that I am the youngest in the hobby at 31 and even though I don't remember a lot of this stuff I do appreciate the unique style from that era. This is the first time I used PPG base coat/clear coat and I want to say I will never use anything else. I want to say a special thanks to Gary Drye and Lonnie Adcock for there help.

That pump looks great! At last a silver Sky Chief, someone must have told you they never were red. I am doing a Tok 300 the same way, my favorite color scheme of all. I have you beat on the age requirement though, I'm 25. I never saw any of this stuff growing up, but I am learning to appreciate it more everyday. Keep up the good work!

John, the room looks great. Too bad you couldn't get the whole room in there as I know you have more great stuff. Very nice job on the Correctly painted Skychief. I am also equally impressed with the responses from our younger members. I always wondered what would become of our stuff..physically and monetarily...when the generation that actually remembered this era passed on. I think I can now say the hobby will definitely be in good hands for the future.

Jarvis,

I really like your game room. Looks like a really cool place to hang out. I too am a fairly young collector at 33. The most challenging part for me at least is trying to figure out what will still be collectable in 30 years and allocating my limited funds to those items. Something tells me that my "junk collection" as some call it, will end up being more valuable than my 401K ever will. I guess time will tell.

Jarvis, Very nice rompus room. I am
twenty nine years old. I finished
restoring my first pump when I was
twenty five. My rompus room is in my
cellar. I hung my globes from the
ceiling, with the lenses flipped over
of course. Nice sky chief pump.

Jim Potts, I don't know how that picture got so big and sideways but can you fix it. I have had a couple of people asking about the paint and want to post a better picture of the pump. I haven't buffed the pump or the air meter because they didn't need it. Also that is all the org. except the nozzle hanger and i had it rechromed. This came out of a guys garage 3 miles away for $225 unrestored.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.
