Hi....
Want to introduce my new project :
The Topsign of a Station of the fifties...
( a good feller gave to me....)
He could save the front parts of the neon and the frontframes when the station was closed...
He wasn´t able to remove the backframes because the screwes were rusted ..so i decide to create a case for the new lights i will put in...

Ok....Seems german signs are completly boring to the guys of the US.......

Translation : TANKHOF OST means : GAS STATION ON THE EAST END ( OF TOWN...)

For me - it´s a scarce cause I can remember when and were it was located in the past....

NOT Boring at all, Andy!! I watch German Ebay every once in a while for a small oil/gas sign but haven't been able to get one that would be available to us foreigners here in the USA. I definitely don't think anyone here would turn down a MOBILOEL sign.
Thanks for posting the pics. I'm anxious to see it hung up an lit up.
Tchüss!

Andy,
Gute Idee!!!
Well, if I could sell my 2 Wayne 60s for the amount that the French pump on EBAY is bringing, I'd sure be tempted to do just that.
I know German Shell and Mobil stuff would sell here. ARAL...maybe not.
Bis dann.

Hi Rod...
Right now I´m very excited...
I got the second pump offered on the phone because of my ad..
It sounds almost very hot....
the old man was talking about glasscylinders !!!!!!!!!!!
..and things about his family owned a station in the thirties....

Tomorrow afternoon we got a date.......
( he is only minutes away...

Looking Good! I'd say a year to get all that done is not too bad. I've got easier projects that are taking more than a year to do. In fact I still have some of the trim on my house needing paint and it has been 3 years.Mike

Yes Mike....
In fact I was hit by some problems ( for example how to mount the letters to the woodplate...)I had to stop time by time to decide how to go further and find solutions...
Plus : this was my rainyday project....

Greetings
Andy
