Thanks for nothing Aaron, its to late. Someone shot me and I am now dead. My funeral will be in two days. I ask that instead of flowers everyone just donate a globe to my widow. LOL Seriously, the keyholes are killer, and probably some of the neatest looking globes out there to collect. Maybe, just maybe, I will own one someday.

POSTING FOR WES HOLLIDAY... ------------------------------------------------------- Hello Doc Like to post picture of my oval lenses, now that Aaron has shown that great globe collection . I purchased these lenses about five years ago from a lady on e-bay, she said the keyhole globe had been broken, Thought that the glass oval body made by Phoenix Glass, would fit, when I finally found one, they don’t. I will try fabricating a plastic body , by modifying a capco globe later this year, just want something to hold them up, to display the lenses. So they still need a body, so if any body, has a body I sure would like to hear from them ! Thanks ! Wes Holliday

Thanks for the comments guys and for sharing more of your Dixie stuff! Here are a few more globes, though they aren't as cool to look at as the keyholes are. Though not attractive, these are uncommon Dixie globes. The Dixie Blue shown here was found with several other Dixie globes in a railroad station in Wisconsin about 15 years ago. The Dixoline is shown on a clear ripple which to the best of my knowledge is not correct. I have seen Dixoline lenses turn up on conventional gill, yellow ripples, and blue ripples. The second Dixoline globe is very uncommon and is found on 13 1/2" glass. [This message has been edited by olddutchgas (edited 03-20-2006).]
Wanted: Ripple Body Globes, picture globe, any Dixie Distributors keyhole gas pump globe and ANYTHING from Old Dutch Refining, Muskegon, MI Musgo sign

POSTING THESE GLOBES FOR WES HOLLIDAY... ------------------------------------------------------- Hello Doc Aaron asked me last night to forward to you the three capco globe pictures; he was unable to send them past few days. 1.First is the Power to pass globe, this was the regular brand of Dixie Gas 2.Premium Dixie Gas on yellow capco body 3. Ethyl Dixie Gas, on original yellow capco body. This was the first globe I ever bought, from Wayne Story at the Charlotte Autofair about twelve years ago. I was walking around selling my awnings to vendors at the show, never had really thought about buying a gas globe, when I first saw it, I liked it, the price was right, and that started me on this hobby. Went to the next Oil,& Gas show in Dayton, Ohio at the old fairgrounds, and that's where I found the Premium! Two makes the start of a collection, so things went on from there. Since tomorrow is the end of the month I will show you my Dixie odds, and ends. They don't fit into any categories, just a collection of smalls, but they have been fun to collect over the years. Thank you Wes Holliday
