What the heck lets make it Ethyl. She has been good to me. Any pump plate or sign any size who cares as long as it says ethyl somewhere on it. Ted
This first one is a little rough but a Pan-Am Which has a little three inch ethyl attached to it.

This next one is my favorite a Signal Ethyl pump plate 12 inches.

My final one in my collection of pump plates is a Coltex.

Lets see what all you guys have got. Ted

I want to thank Dwaine very much for posting the photos of my Super Veltex Ethyl and Flying A Ethyl pump plates. He's a first class guy !! Thought you guys may like to hear the story on how I came across these two pieces. I know this story is going to sound too good to be true.

It was in the early 80's that I began collecting this stuff and starting talking to all kinds of people, kinda word of mouth seemed to bring me in contact with people. One late night I got this call from a stranger that said he was interested in selling his collection and wondered if I would be interested in buying some things. After picking myself up off the floor, and getting my tongue out of my throat I coolly said sure, I could make some time available to look at his things. Anyway he insisted on bringing his stuff to my home. We set an appointment for the next day and sure enough he showed up right on time. He was driving a good size van. After greeting him at the door we proceeded to bring in about 15 large boxes of signs, globes and early oil bottle racks with original bottles and so on. Once inside he laid out all items across my living room floor, dining room floor, hallways, flat surfaces of couches, tables you get the idea. (Sure coulda used Hubbas drool bucket about then). In what seemed to be a dream I began to make my selections being careful not to step on things…….a veltex sign, veltex globe, flying A signs, globes, Signal gasoline globes, Flight gasoline globes, Richfield stuff early mobile oil bottle racks, early black Texaco no-smoking sign, clocks and so on. Remember, this in in the early 80's. When I finally reached the point of being in financial hardship I paid him for what I selected. When he packed up the remaining stuff and was ready to leave he asked if I would like him to come back in a couple weeks as he had a lot more stuff at home. Still in a daze I said sure.

About 3 weeks later I get another call from him and the whole story gets repeated only with even nicer things. At this second meeting, I made similar selections and managed to get him paid only this time my wife said ok- that’s it !! She did not want him coming around our house anymore that it was causing a financial crises in our household, I just couldn't resist the continuing buffet spreads. That was it period, It was either him or me. Anyway I saw the fellow one last time at a local swap meet about 2 months later with hoards of people around him.

It's fun to flash back on that experience. I can truly say that I've been to paradise !!

Here is my Ethyl White Eagle sign.

Double sided and rough in places, but my one and only ethyl. I've got it hanging behind my Wichita (Hayes) visible in my garage. Wish I had an eagle globe for it. If anyone hears of a suitable repop eagle being made, I'd appreciate knowing about it.
Thanks for a great bunch of people on this site.

Rod

Here is a sign you won't ever run into again. A very unique way of doing the ethyl logo.

Well, this is the only pump sign I could find that I have that hasn't already been shown on this post. I don't know much about it, I just liked the colors, it was gas related, so I bought it. Anyone know more about it?
