History of the College Inn Complex

One of the first service stations built in Athens, Alabama. It is a prairie style design associated with Frank Lloyd Wright. For several years, this Gulf station sat abandoned. Broken windows and decaying woodwork threaten demolition by neglect.

Special thanks to those who believe that our history and heritage are worth saving. To those who supported this endeavor, we owe great appreciation and gratitude.

This goes to prove that working with city council, Mayor's office, Preservation commission and citizens of the community, these projects can make the dream a reality.

I'll continue to keep everybody updated on the progress and do more research on the actual history of the College Inn Complex.
