What year is that?? I have a full size one but it is partly apart, maybe i will stick it together and send a pic. Mine has lead seals on it that are marked 10 which I think is 1910 when it was calibrated, and it has a banana nozzle- no tap ... dodogas

Here is one of my rarest pumps, a very rare Bowser. You can see it still has the original Bowser emblem... very rare. It is rough but very restorable.
Keep an eye on ebay, I might just decide to part with this gem.

Ok, Ok.. I admit... it is not a real Bowser. I know it comes as a shock but it is actually an old Gilbarco... yeah, yeah that's it, Gilbarco.
Ok it is a wayne but when is there gonna be a pump of the month for the "common and crappy" pumps?
I say next month we have a "common and crappy" pump of the month! Lets see all the gas boys! No?

When I saw the rare Bowser that Aqua had, I had to take this pic, same decal and brand , i think this one is a Wayne 1000 Bowser , Right Aqua. Check out how i sanded thru the paint to get the decal to show, and the cool light shade on the wall.
This pump was at an Irrigation District office, you could see it out of the bathroom widow of my parents house!!, It was in use till about 4 yrs ago.

FINALLY, I have something to post on these "_____ of the month" deals. Thanks, Dwaine for the help.

This was the first pump I restored... I didnt know squat, and still dont.

The bonnet was gone, so I just put a light/globe up there. Not knowing any better, I fitted those circ 1920's pleated shades on the light junction box.

Here is my Bowser 575.

I found this pump without doors, a gift from my brother-in-law. Thanks to KEN BRUCE, who sent me a pair of doors from Texas, and this web site for making this pump look much better. As you can see I took out the spinner manifold. If anyone needs the spinners or the metal bezels that go around the site glasses let me know and we'll work out something. Send in those Bowser pics guys. I know there are lots of them out there. Gosh,I even have a dog named "Bowser".
Thanks,
danceswithpumps
Rod

I think Gary has some more really nice pumps in that garage. More pictures Gary, please!

Thanks Frankie for posting the hand Crank Bowser pic.
I picked this up at a Museum sale on the weekend. It is in nice shape except for the cRACK in the RAcK, nice nickle on the cylinders i think it will clean up just great. I have a similar pump without the seperator that i beieve is a 1910 due to the stamps on the calibration seals, It has a thick cast emblem on it, this one has a stamped one and it curves around the corner. The seperator has 1911 casting dates on it and the tag has a 19 and in another spot a 21 so I think it is from the late teens. the numbers are visible on the counter -the 3 inch nickle disc shape thing at the top with a pawl arm hanging down, everytime the rack goes to the top for a gallon pumped it moves one #, so a gallon at a time 5 times for 5 gallons. Also there is a stop so you can pump a calibrated 1/2 gallon or a Quart.

Heres my Bowser 585 ? you've seen it before.
but I'm learning all the time my self, just today talking to Larry , the faces say zero/start it was in red thats why its faded, then the doors don't open but lift up like a Gilbarco, the side door is a larger door with the turn back crank is locked to the door that you have to open to read the metor, then the price boards on both sides, He tells me out of all the pumps(Bowsers) hes done Hes never seen one like it,

Dwaine,
Your 585 side glass, originaly came from the factory with Black vertical stripes on White background. The station owner probly changed them and put in the backlit pricers. I don't think they orig.

these are not originals, but a copy of what was in there, if you put in a single lens it rattles but two lenses fit great , thats the way it was right from the farm , the paper of course was rotten,

Dodo... Wayne pump of the month, lol! Don't be silly, I have a Tokheim 39 for that!

Here is another of the pumps I picked up, there are 2 of these from the same station. One yellow and one white. These are so clean they just need paint, they even have the face glass still intact, no chips or cracks. The faces are perfect too.
