I have some ad glass that hasn't been posted yet,I will have my buddy Hubba post them, since I haven't taken the time to figure it out yet..The ad glass on the 36B is original the globe is a repop.I have two mint shoebox lenses but no globe.(still looking.)The single ad glass is an early transition piece after the chicken wing and before the last style. The A-38 glass is for regular grade.Anybody got a spare shoebox globe laying around????Thanks! Wow, My Sinclair hats off to Craig Landon for letting Dwaine take pictures... i see he has some very nice globes but notice he has spent some time to build a very nice display with glass to show them off. To see a collection like that and the pride that went in to the case. WOW Again great job goes out to Craig Landon!

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I don't think I've ever seen a globe display that is as well thought out as Craig Landon's. Some of those globes are quite rare. Others are very common. Put them all together in a great display area and its an awesome sight!

Lots of guys collect only one brand (Dwaine); some guys collect globes from their state (Les); some guys collect just one type of globe, one piece, metal bodied, glass, plastic, odd shaped, etc. Some guys like them all (me).

It doesn't matter if you don't like Tydol/Flying A globes, or even if you don't like globes at all, you gotta admit Craig has put together a great display of globes!

If you have ANY globes from our featured companies that haven't been posted, don't hesitate to post them. Common or rare, we want to see them all! Thanks to all those that have shared their globes so far.
Bob

The first picture that Hubba posted for Tim is a lens for a shoebox globe. This one dates from the 49-56 era.

Looks like another Associated Flying A Aero Type globe. I thought those were supposed to be hard to find. We've got 4 of the posted right here! Nice globes and ad glass. Thanks for sharing.

Tim,
The ad glass with the different wings looks like it might match the Arotane globe. Look at the "T" on Craig's Arotane globe. It looks like the top of the T turns into a wing. Just guessing. Does anyone know for sure?

Sat, Morning Bob. the A used in the late shoe box was the last A they used , there was a big thing about that A, a large porcelain sign came on ebay sometime back and a lot of guys didn't know about it (me) and others , its the same A, Gene Autry used for his flying A ranch, he used that logo from late 30ties had it on everything , but come to find out, Getty oil was in the process of changeing the logo to the one you see in that globe, this sign came from Idaho, and the only ones that new about it was from the Wash, Or ,Id, and Mont, areas , but my friend Sweetwaterjr, who we all love got it ,and the color is black with red on the sides.
now on the globe, all the letters slope to the right showing its going fast, that above the T is the wind from the A ,

We've shown most of the globes from our featured companies thanks in large part to Craig and Larry.........but there are more.

We've seen Dwaine's Seaside globes before, but there are more from that company. There are more shoebox globes too. Mohawk Ethyl, Mohawk with the orange globe face instead of red. Then there's Tidal and Northwestern. There's another affiliate too. Pathfider Petroleum. The globe book says there are no known globes from that company but who knows that for sure?

Keep those great globes coming!
Bob
