I got two of these tanks off an old Seaside delivery tank unit, at the old Seaside bulk plant in Tracy, Ca. one was in Seaside the other Flying A, the tank unit was tobe cut up, so I snagged them, they were for Kerosene and Distillate for the farmers that still have the old diesil, 6 dozer, cats with the pony engine, to start the diesil. the unfinished one I'm giveing to T-way, he likes the old tanks , the finished one is in my collection, the pipe and fosset are brass so T-way will have fun with this, to pump the fluid from the tank you use the fosset T- up and down, the old paint is almost gone, its hard to get paint to stick to Galvanize I think you can use Vinegar to wash it, these must be pretty old because of the rivets. any of you boys back east ever see a tank like this???? Dwainey: You shouldn't call Jodi an 'old tank' - she's more like a half-track! (Just kidding BC) Can't wait to get this puppy from California - polish the brass, paint the tank, add some lettering and a 'brand' decal . . . Shoot, I'm making myself tired. Later . . . Jim

Guys - guys . . . I hasn't even left California yet and you want me to decide on paint? Okay. I think I will do it as a 'Sunshine Kerosene' pumpster (pump + lubster body = pumpster ). Medium dark blue with yellow accents - and of course, all the brass polished up within an inch of it's life! After all, Dwaine's looks like a million $$'s in that dark blue Seaside paint. Graphics Express (graphicsexpress.net) sells a lubster/pump plate that's for kerosene. It shows a nice sunflower and would look kewl on the front of the unit. Of course, that paint scheme is subject to change if something cooler comes along. But a Mobile pumpster would be nice to have in the coop. Later . . . Jim

Dwaine should have made you promise to do it a WEST COAST company After all, he is sending our natural resources abroad. Now I don't feel bad for plunking that wayne 60 out of Iowa!
I remember the good old days when gold was worth more than rust!
