Jeff my friend, you are one lucky man, that is a sweet pump, and it even has the original top, I guess the regular 36 tops don't fit on Dicks stack

Its my turn now Don................
I wish I may, I wish I might, I wish I had a National Duplex tonight

You are right Lance, I am very lucky. This pump is very straight so even I should be able to make it nice, now I need to save the cash to buy all new stuff for it, this one will be a keeper. No cash spared!

Nice 36 with a 36B top.
THAT TOP WILL STACK WITH MY 36B TOPS.
I'll give you a few $'s for the top only.
36B tops have to be modified to fit the 36. You will need to take about 1/2" out of the depth [face to face], then make some clips to screw them together. Also you need a cast piece to set the 36B top on to the 36.
Dick

Hey you did get a 36 not a "B", the one I had was the same except it had a B top that was just a bit wide one way, one of the ones that got away from Bennett. Funny thing is it was the same pink color yours is underneath and the glass that was in it said Hercules...

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cool score, good things come to those who wait!! ( IF you hadnt listened and bought everything you found, this would have come when you had no cash..LOL)...dodogas

Thanks for the kind words guys, wish I could take some kind of credit. It all goes to Don, I was just the lucky one who was at the right place at the right time.
I am very excited about this pump, kind of the next step in the collection. The 50's pumps I have are cool, this is a keeper though.
Speaking of Don, man that guy has lots of nice stuff! WOW!

Ok Dick, this is where you come in and educate those of us who are 36 and 36B "Challanged"! What is the difference in the tops, why did you call this a 36B "factory fitted" top? And why is a 36B factory fitted top smaller than a regular 36B top? Help us out here Dick. Hurry before you take off for Iowa.

Hes just saying that to make elvis think hes got the wrong top , so elvis will sell it to him, thats the same top I have on mine, but if theres a different one , tell us about it . maybe I'll sell mine to him and order a fiberglas one , lets see, 36-b un-restored = 500.00-750.00 , with out top 250.00 according to Dick, so I'll sell the top for 500.00 pretty good deal , eh.
thanks Don. you did good.

The different top (original style)is shown on the red Signal pump in Elvis' other post. i think the 36 B tops that came later with ad glass had about an inch cut out front to back and joined somehow to allow the use of ad glass on the existing 36's out there, and is the version shown on the Elvis 36......dodogas

Elvis,
The 36/36B "bug" is catching. I liked your pump so well that I just had to have one. I stumbled on to a 36b on the way to work this evening. My wife spotted it in town next to a guy's house in his driveway and we made a quick deal. The top looks identical to yours. Going to hook on to the trailer early in the morning and go get it. Hope Dick doesn't beat me to the top on his way to Iowa Gas. LOL.
Glad you asked for pics of the 36's to be posted. Never thought I'd be lucky enough to ever own one. Don't know which company to go with yet. Have you decided?
Have fun fixing it up and post some pics along the way.

Hey Elvis.... Maybe you ought to get a John Deere 36-B to go with your Tokheim. Does anyone know what a John Deere 36-B is ?? They're both about the same vintage.
