Another one... glad I went for the 14 foot trailer. I had almost no room left. Most of the doors were piled in the truck bed.
There are 15 pumps in there, 3 of which are the gas carts you can see at the front. (short rusty things)

WaterKing:

Too Kewl! One thing I haven't scored yet is a gas cart. One of these days one will fall in my lap and I'll get it for the Coop.

Great score!

Later . . .

Here is one of the pumps I got, looks better with the doors on! Check out the cool Beacon decal, too bad that has to come off when the resto starts. There are a bunch more pictures but I am running out of host space. I'll try to post more soon.
The haul consisted of:
2 Tokheim 40's (little clock faces)
1 wayne 100-b,
1 bennett 646b,
2 wayne 70's,
2 tokheim 39-VP's (one with 4 ad glass)
1 gilbarco 98,
1 bowser 555 and
2 gilbarco 906's.
plus the 3 gas carts. (see my post about cart for their pictures)
All the pumps are complete and have guts, I unloaded them myself today... very heavy and I am beat!

I thought about trying to salvage that, the other side has been spray painted with rust color primer. I thought that might polish off. I wonder that kind of touch up could be done to the paint?
I guess Dwaine had this door for a while, using it to make repro decals I think.
If I made that design on the back of a T-shirt do you think anyone would buy them? Seaside or Beacon? I wanted to make some but the set-up is not cheap, need to sell a few to make them reasonable.
No dice on selling this pump... I LOVE this pump. (notice it is the only one that got posted) This is the best one I got.
Did you see my carts on here hub? Kinda cool.

Jeff,
You should think twice about restoring the GB with Beacon decal. IT might clean up with a good wax job. I wish that I had saved a few original condition gas pumps. They can always be restored, BUT never taken back to original condition. It is RARE to find a nice dispalyable original pump.
IF you want to restore a GB 98, find one that needs it.
Just my nickles worth.

Ok, ok, ok... the Beacon stays (promise)
I never thought about NOT restoring it, I guess it make sense. If Dick says not to restore... gotta listen! If it doesn't fit you must aquit!
I will take it to my brother-in-law who is an AWESOME paint and body guy. Does only rods and customs. I bet he could clean those doors up and make 'um look nice again. A little dent work, color match and we're good to go!
I am painting the rest of it though... come on! Where is the fun in just putting a globe on? First I gotta take out the guts from 12 pumps... blah!
I did not know there were repop beacon globes... pictures????? Why you guys holding out on the new guy? Does Slamas have a web site.
I am VERY happy with the pumps I got, the only ones I am not totally sold on are the Tokheim 40's. I like them, I was just hoping for a larger pump, I knew they were clockfaces and was excited about them. They are pretty plain and small, still cool. (my wife likes them, said they are cute)

Just got home. When you start collecting you cant easily understand the importance of originallity, If that was a motorcycle, the original paint would help the value and desirability by a few thousand dollars. On real early original bikes they can be worth 30 - 50 % more than a good restoration!! You can reproduce almost anything except originallity, clean it up..you will never regret it
