This weekend I went to a local flea market that usually has a good selection of gas and oil items. I bought a couple of quarts off of this guy for $5. I asked if he had anymore oil cans. He says boy you just missed me. Last weekend I had this can with a parrot on it. I say Polly and he says yeah that's it. He says to me, can you believe I got $20 out of that thing. I just about s***. I asked if he had anymore and of course he didn't. I spent all day Saturday going to every local antique mall looking to see if anyone had put it in a booth to sell. It just goes to show you that bargains are out their to be had. Last weekend I bought a Deep Rock globe for $25 so keep looking a local flea markets and the malls. The end of sad story for me but not someone else.
Polly quart for $20 who would have thought.

All is not lost; place an ad in the paper saying you buy Metal Quart cans and pay good prices for good stuff. Hopefully there is a chance the buyer sees it, unless he is from out of town. Then if he he knows the value he will ask a big buck or ebay it or he might sell to you for 75.00, think he made the deal of a lifetime and sell and find you more cans...Worth a try..dodogas..also mention to the vendor(pay him if he comes thru) to get the guy to contact you if he sees him, he will be back!

Not to change the subject Scott, but your luck has rubbed off on me. Remember the guy with the Husky can suppose to trade me. Well some lucky person offered him $50 and he thought he was getting a better deal. After I reamed him out via email and told him what a fool he was, he will probably never post on this site again. Oh well almost the deal of a century. What really gets me I tried to buy it straight up and he wouldn't sell it to me. Better luck for both of us next time. Also, I'm going to see if I have any different C quarts, you guys really did this one up already. Ted D:

Ted..Do you think he really had that quart? Or really found that nice pump for a six pack? I am still suspect of the story. It totally might be true but I dont know. Someting smells fishy to me.

That does sound a little fishy doesn't it especially when he wouldn't give you his number. I will just be glad that someone got a great buy on the Polly and move on. Have a good day guys. Scott

I can't even buy a Polly can for $400 and some guy gets it for $20. I guess I'll keep looking.

Hey, I told you how you might get it back PLUS many more tins at Wholesale NOT RETAIL. However if you dont want the first pick at the best price stay on ebay. Myself I would try to still get the can. BTW if whoever got it reads this put us out of our misery any post a pic..LOL
