This old station is located about 20 minutes away from me and is now a small eatery. It has been kept as original as possible and one of the front Wayne pumps is original to the station. The other is a replacement of the original and the side pump is another replacement of an original pump. For those of you quick to notice details, yes the globes are reversed on the front pumps. They are reproductions they have replaced repros. from earlier vandals. The change was an oversight. It's a great little piece of history and is well known in the area. Enjoy, Dave.

Glad you guys are enjoying the pics. It is really a neat little place out in rural central PA. I by chance ran into the owner the day I took these and I steered him in the direction of this site and maybe he'll become a member. It really does feal like a portal in time. I'm just glad you guys enjoy it as much as I do.

Dave:

Where is this place?

My folks lived in Trevorton. Used to be a fellow there on Coal Street who had an old garage, pretty much as it used to be, complete with old pumps (don't recall what make) and a Model A wrecker. Do you know if he's still there?

Steve

Hey Steve,
Maybe you've heard of Mount Pleasant Mills. It's right at the intersection of RT's 35 out of Selinsgrove and Rt 192. There really isn't much out there.

There is a gentleman I met last year out in Treverton that has ownership of an old Mobil station. There is a wall in the back that is full of oil can's in what used to be the office.....I've put plenty of nose prints on that big glass front. He keeps a nice shiny new Mustang parked in there along with what is left of the pumps they used to redo. I think the son did car detailing out of there for a while. Sound like the right place? You have to love the coal region for all the stuff that comes out of there. I swear parts of it are like a time capsules. A great place to find antiques.
