I have found an Indian gas sign and my question to you is it authentic. A friend looked at it and said it looks ok, the “G” and color are correct but he thought the “Made in USA” was on the left and the date “month-yy” was on the right. This one is reverse. “Made in USA” on the right…
So my question for the experts is do you think this is a real sign or a repo…
I will try to add a picture soon as I know that would help.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Here’s a pic of my curved Indian sign showing the “Made in USA” on the left and date code on the right…can’t say that it’s the same for all Indian signs though…haven’t seen a flat one in the wild!

Goodness, out of courtesy to the guys here on the forum, post a photo or two of the sign in question. It's not hard to do. John

When I look at a sign like this, I look in the individual little cracks and crevices for consistent corrosion. For example, on a sign that age I would expect there to be a little bit of rust in-between the parts of those grommets. If they are shiny and new, I doubt it's legit.

I was just gonna say what T-way said. Compare it to originals in reputable auctions.
