Curious if anyone can help my identity if this is a true 1955 fire chief sign? I appreciate your time,help,and knowledge.

welcome on  I'm not positive about the sign, just wanted to greet ya I'm sure by 7:00 a.m. tmr. there might be a good chance someone gets back to ya.... some people wake up at the crack

Doubtful it is legit. I believe there should be a hyphen between Fire and Chief. I think that was hyphenated up through the early 1960s, when the hyphen was eventually dropped. Maybe someone else will chime in here.
