I am looking for some opinions about this Socony flange sign. It has one fair side and one rough. It is 24” by 20”.

1. Is it real?

2. Is it considered rare?

3. In today’s market what would be the fair retail price?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Steve

Looks real to me . Lols exactly like the one I have and have had for many years . Anything can be faked it’s more of a gut feeling when you buy something . And who your buying from and how you feel about it . I’ve been tricked before thank god it wasn’t a very expensive item . But it can happen . Looks to me like you have a nice looking real sign . I wouldn’t say rare ? But it is highly collectible and wanted . As for value that’s anybodies call . Recently saw one in an auction go for 2600. But anybody that see those auctions nows how that is ! Lol

IMO - your better off paying more even if you pay

too much and get a good one "Buy Quality"

later on you will be glad you did.. ... cool
