Hello. I was seeing if anyone would be able to help me out with information on this 31 inch black porcelain Wingfoot I just picked up. I’ve seen white, blue, and yellow in the past of various sizes, but never a black one. What does the different colors signify? And what would be it approximate value on this black one? I purchased it from a 35 year retired employee of Goodyear off the wall of his garage a few weeks ago. Thanks in advance

black wingfoot designates bicycle tires .. ... cool

value: rarer than its counterparts, significantly

worth more for that reason, condition: 2k+ ..

Thank you for your information. Never seen any type of Goodyear sign for bicycle tires. Amazing how clean this thing is. You have an idea of the age of it? What do the other colors such as white, yellow and blue signify?‘

How can you tell a Fake? I would think that could be a possibility, except i purchased from a good year retiree that has had this on his garage wall for years.

Goodyear archives are kept at the University of Akron. Some material has been digitized, including copies of the Wingfoot Clan employee newsletter. You may be able to find some info on their website. Cool piece and good luck!
