Thanks appreciate it . I looked thru a lot of 150 images and can’t identify a brass tag that goes there . Serial tag is present , Bennett tag is present . The holes didn’t show until after sand blasting and powder coat . Old paint and surface rust covered them . Every other item was attached to the pump , hose , nozzle , visi gauge all except the globe and that set of holes where some type of tag went .

I've never seen anything on that location of the pump before. Some company may have but an ID serial number tag there. Richard

The holes are so small they would be rivet holes and unthreaded .You do not really notice them from 2-3 foot away but it bugs me and probably always will . Like it is not complete unless i plug those buggers. LOL .

I’ve never seen anything there on a 150. Maybe it was a standard oil pump & it had the small brass tag that standard used on everything???

It was more than likely the ms brass tag standard used on all of there equipment to keep track of maintenance & catalog there equipment. I hav some & can take pics if necessary. It is a different tag than the one you pictured

Just an FYI: None of my 150’s / Bennett clocks (132 & 450) have those holes.

See my post above showing the standard oil co. id tag thats riveted to the pump casting . Must be they decided to place one on the upper sheet metal cabinet also as the hole spacing is pretty close to the one on the casting . Just couldn’t see any reason why they would put one on the cabinet when the standard brass I’d was already riveted to the pump main frame shroud casting . Thanks

Here is one of the tags standard oil used on almost everything they owned. The rivetes are 1 & 5/8 apart

Chris i Want to thank you for your generous offer of the brass id tag . Received it in the mail today . Gave it a slight oh so slight buff and going to get it out on the pump as soon as I go thru my brass screws and find the correct size . So thanks again Bob

Just curious if you went with reman or original globe ? Looking for one or the other myself...If it is a reman.... does it look good lit up ? What is the durability of the paint on those ?

Nice pump I would like to find on like it

Quality reproduction lenses are made exactly like the originals - so they will last as long as originals.

Not the acrylic lenses, those are worthless (IMHO), but the reproduction glass lenses are a better choice for a pump restoration.

Nothing looks worse than a high end paint job with a washed out globe sitting on it. Again IMHO.

Later . . .

Jim

Like Jim said Complete restoration go with a after market reproduction glass lens and metal globe body painted to match your pump .If it’s going to be an Outside pump reproduction for sure . Don’t want hail ,or rock throwing kids or with a BB gun for Xmas taking it out .. If inside your house original would be nice but pricey .Mine is aftermarket and use them on all my outside pumps . Original globes kept safely inside for display .

Lit up ! Had to put a lower watt bulb in it (now) it was a little too bright and overshadowed the price window . These pictures were before I changed to a lower watt bulb .

Beautiful Bob!!
I don't know about those crown globes, but I put 40W equivalent LED in all my globes. Works out great. And no heat with the LED. And they last basically forever.

Thanks .Yes that is what I put in all my other pumps 25 watt glare reduced led . With the crown being bigger I started out with a larger Led but was too much and I was also out of the smaller wattage and i had to order a couple boxes of lower wattage .The pics are with the first bulbs & since switched out to lower . Just haven’t taken any new pictures. Have been slowly changing all my bulbs to led even outside security lights .

I tried those in my clocks for awhile with the socket reducer and the Xmas tree size lights. I found that the bulbs did not last as long as the regular base LED’s . Had the full size LED’s in my pumps outside for several years now and have not had to replace any of the full size yet . Small base bulbs I was changing about once a year on my clocks . . Although I light up my clocks 24-7 also rather than dusk to Midnight on my pump lights that are on timers .
