Thank you all for a great November! For this POTM (PUMP OF THE MONTH) I chose to do all models of Tokheim 36's, 36ADC's, and 36B's. These pumps are very desirable because of their stunning Art Deco features. All of these models had an option to have a one piece milk glass top, which are extremely hard to find. These models were made from 1934-1939. Tokheim 36: Computer Tokheim 36: Dial Pump (DP) or Clockface Tokheim 36: Twin Computing Pump Tokheim 36 ADC: Large Display Case Tokheim 36B: Computer Tokheim 36B: Dial Pump (DP) or Clockface Tokheim 36B: Smaller Showcase Tokheim 36B: Dial Pump (DP) or Clockface w/ Showcase Tokheim 36B: Twin Computing Pump Tokheim 36B: Twin Dial Pump (DP) Tokheim 36B: Computing w/ porcelain panels Tokheim 36B-TW: Tydol ONLY pump w/ Shoebox globe Tokheim 36B-TW: Tydol ONLY pump w/ Display Case & Shoebox Lastly the FANTACY 36B triple unit display case, constructed by our late friend, Dick Bennett.
There is tons of different models of these pumps so please let me know if I forgot any. Here is my 36B DP. I thought this pump was fitting for December because of the red and green. Merry Christmas everyone, lets make this POTM amazing! Thanks for everyones support!

Here’s a few of mine....
The first one is a station lighter and is “famous”... lol. The top of this pump was pictured in Jack’s book on page 343 to show the extra step in the station lighter tops (below the block of wood.

To help inform those who were unaware, I took some pictures to show the differences between the tops.
Pic #1 Standard 36B Top (round hole on top) Pic #2 Station Lighter Top (square hole on top)
There are a few other differences in the two pumps, such as the “Stationlighter” placard on the top (pic #3), the addition to the “SL” on the ID tag (pic #4), and the electrical manifold (slightly visible in pic #2) which helps to support the station lighter tower.
These tops came in several other variations as well (glass, steel inserts, etc).
-Steve
PS. I think DB had every version under the sun and then a few extras. Lol

Great pumps Matt. Thank you for sharing. I remember that 36ADC was in pieces, small pieces.

Here is a 36B-DP that escaped the collection. It has a weights and measures tag dated 1968.

I've been lucky enough over the years to acquire three original glass top pumps, one 36 and two 36B's.

Gas pump Ronnie out here in California asked me to try and post these pictures for him. He restored these in 1982 . Notice the safety shut off under the nozzle area of the 36B . It connects to the hose in case you drive off forgetting the nozzle in your car. Ronnie told me that these were required in the state of New York.

Nice to see all these Tokheim 36B pumps. Here is a photo of my 36B-DP waiting for me to work on it. I've gathered the parts I need, mostly from Ron Scobie. Hoping to get her looking nice in the summer of 2021.

Matt,
Of course your ADC is awesome, but that Bolene Blue Seal pump is VERY classy looking. Nice job. I always enjoy seeing those more 'abstract' brands.
