I ran across this flange Western Union Sign. It looks old, especially with the blocked letters. Does anyone know the age and what the sign in its condition should be worth? Thanks in advance for any help!
Steve

Found this sale... I am concerned about this sign you have pictured, the mixed fonts scares me. Although ebay sales also scare me. I dont anything about these signs.

Thank you Paul and Kim...since posting I found one with theses block letters on Worthpoint and Barrett Jackson. And you are definitely right...condition...condition...condition! I knew that in pursuing this deal on this sign. The Baltimore Enamel and Novelty Company manufactured the sign. Other research shows a late 1920s date. Thanks guys for jumping in to help me!

Any tips on identifying repop versus original western union signs? I see these signs often enough probably should know more about them.

I bought this one from a good friend who is a collector and retailer. I know him personally and we go back years. He has a source from Beaumont Texas who sold him the sign. I know this one is real but do not know how to identify the fakes. The block letters are characteristic of the older 1920s sign. I look on EBay but am fearful of so many fakes and reproductions.
