Got all my Texaco pump plates hung up today.
Not counting the diesel ones, how many else are there?

According the book, "Oil Company signs" by Benjamin and Harrison, including, curved, diesel and marine...pump plates only, not the "drain and refill" signs...and I think they may be missing a couple...there are about 40....

Not to sound all philosophical and all, but I have enjoyed the journey to collect the signs a little more than the signs themselves. I have met some wonderful (and not so wonderful)..LOL..people along the way. You are off to a fine start. First sign I ever bought was a Texaco Fire Chief. You are off to a fine start....Don't forget to get a version of the Fire-Chief sign that doesn't have the hyphen between Fire and Chief....

There can also be two variations of the same pump plate with Reg T M or the R in a circle to show that the trade mark is registered. I have never seen a Texaco pump plate without either underneath the green T such as your Sky Chief Supreme. Cheers, Don.

From what I can find, it looks like all the signs from ‘59’ do not have the R or the TM. Found a couple from large auctions that didn’t have either marking.

Nice signs. I have been looking to purchase these same signs and Alex’s comment about the hyphen actually made me realize the signs I’m looking at some have hyphens and others don’t on the Fire Chief. Does the Fire Chief price change depending on the hyphen? Im new to this. Thanks

Fire Chief pump plates with or without the hyphen are generally around the same price. Here’s a few of mine (a lot of these are the same style). I have some with matching dates that were taken off the same pumps. Also note the 4th one in the second row. For some reason they put a sticker over it at the gas station.

I have a bunch of others, but don’t have a picture handy.
