Well this was one of my best finds of the year. I found it in a barn. My Dad, Chevelle71, and myself are going to fix it up. We were proud to bring this home.

Great find! Doesn't appear to be your typical "barn find" as it looks to be in decent condition!
'69 Firebirds always have a place in my heart since I've owned a couple and even owned an original '69 TA.
Congrats and good luck with it ! ! !

Thanks Jim. The interior has damage from mice, and the transmission was toast. The three of us already pulled the trans out for a rebuild. We have to do all the typical things to get it up to snuff.... carb, brakes, fuel lines, gas tank, wheels/tires, interior, electrical, etc. etc. Hopefully she’ll be done in a few months. 😀

Thanks everyone. It was very dirty when I found it. We cleaned it up a lot.

It’s an automatic. Originally built as a 350, however it has a 400 in it with a TH350 trans.

Thanks Les. I appreciate it. I can stop by again, we’ll turn you into a Pontiac fan and I’ll trade you for a few things. LOL

Best firebird body style in my opinion. Is the top original? That would be amazing after all these years. Now you have got to get it ready for show and shine season!

Me too 😀

Fred, the top was replaced at some point. It’s in great shape.

I’ll keep you all posted with the progress with a few pics in the future.

Well just a little update on the Firebird. She's all done and rollin down the road. Due to the Covid quarantine, we weren't able to work on it together as much as we would've liked. So a big shout out to Chuck (Chevelle71) who took on a lot of the repairs in his barn, once the stay-at-home quarantine started here in Michigan. Here are some before and after pics (that is not me in the pic). It is for sale (OldGas, Craigslist, FB Marketplace, and EB).

-Steve
