Finally done, well kind of. I am considering doing some "wear" and more "aging". I like it but think it needs more patina. If I make any changes I will add to this thread in the future. Also would like to get more product inside and eventually get the newer red and white stuff out.
This pump was a basket case. It was badly rusted to the point that three of the frame rails gave way and it crumpled to the ground. Things got bent and a few castings were cracked. It was found in a scrap yard in Oregon by a member on here. My good friend Don Sherwood purchased it and then passed it on to me after deciding it was too big of a project. It has all the parts it the upper section and the large meter down in the bottom. The pump and motor were not in it. Well it does not pump gas but it does have a second life as a display piece.

This is what it looked like when I went up for a visit. The 3rd picture was after I pieced it together to make it look like it was more than it really was for a "BUYS of the WEEK" picture. The next set of pictures are building it.

I've been on this site for many years, known many of the collectors here, and Matt is in the top few as far a knowledge and ability of our hobby. I'm amazed at what he can accomplish. I've never heard him speak poorly of another person, and he is always available to help another collector. I'm proud to call him friend, and nominate him "pump whisperer" . This guy knows how to make lemonade ! Matt, Great job on your ADC !

The computer that as in it was incorrect. It was a 12 inch and it needed a 10 3/4 inch. This is an odd size and was only used in Tokheim 36 and 36ADC, so not an easy one to find. A oldgas member helped me out and got one from a 36 that was getting parted out. It was badly rusted. I had to carefully cut it apart and save the 10 3/4 specific parts. I then sacrificed a early 12 inch side totalizer computer for parts. I sent all the parts along with an N.O.S. totalizer to Joe Yocom. He did his wonders and it looks great. It is connected to the reset handle and resets with a ring of the bell. Thank you Joe.

Thanks everyone.
Greg, thanks for posting the pictures of the way it was when you found it. I appreciate it.
Mike, thanks again for selling me the hard to come by 10 3/4 inch Veeder-Root computer. At the time I was looking for one there were two other members looking. They found their`s before I got mine. Considering how rare they are the three of us found them in about a 6 to 8 month period.

I originally wanted a metal body for the globe. It was painted to match the pump. On the west coast it would have been correct to have a 15 inch on a metal low profile body. Anthony Espinosa has one in original colors that match my pump, maybe he will post a picture of it. I went with a 13 1/2 because I knew a 15 would not fit in my garage. I was surprised to find out it would not fit either. I was able to get a capco on with only 1/4 inch left to the ceiling. I tried a glass body but it would not fit.

Can you cut out the drywall in that area and recess the garage ceiling? With a pump of this caliber it might be worth the effort!
