This video is dedicated to the past artist/designers and engineers at the Bennett company who were responsible for designing the Bennett 300 and 500 series pumps. WOW Rob great job. That was 16 minutes of my life well spent. Can only imagine how that compares to the hours you must have invested to share this " 541 rebirth" with the OG guys.

Thanks guys this video makes me smile every time I watch it !
What an adrenaline rush hitting the power strip button on for the first time with success.
Honestly when my clock reads 541 I always think of these pumps. I guess I am a true pump collector. Lol

Thanks Steve!
I am working on the Richfield/Rio Grande pump now trying to actually make it pump. It has no suction at all . Hopefully I will be able to restore the guts so it will pump fuel again.

Great video Rob. Your enthusiasm for this stuff really comes through on the video. I love to see and hear the old pumps running. Makes me want to get my Tokheim 36B running!

Rob, your videos are always produced like Hollywood would do them. The thrill you get when start the pump is just like the feel you get when you fire up that engine you just rebuilt. And I think I recognize that plie of guts.
Keep them coming!

Rob has been back in the garage rebuilding the 541 patina Richfield pump. I had absolutely no suction at the input pipe before working on it. It now has great suction after dismantling it and freeing up the rotor seals. The next step is to clean and free up the meter. I have been filming the process for my Youtube channel. Stay tuned for hopefully pumping action! I want this pump to be fully operational soon. Thanks for your interest!

Back to the top!!! This pump has been disassembled and is being rebuilt by me in real time on video. Some of you will be board with this and some of you will be elated! What are your thoughts? Is Rob crazy for spending time with this or is this an interesting topic? Look at the crazy paint patina on this pump! No better candidate for a running pumping unit right??? This thing is sick!!!! IMO
