Can anyone provide information on the manufacturer of this nozzle? The only markings are "R404D1" and Pat. Pend. I assume it is a small curbside nozzle, maybe for kerosene. I like the patina. The ID of the delivery end is 3/4".

The manufacturer is Blackmer; which should be cast on one side of the nozzle, but it is missing and there is no evidence that it was ground off or worn off.
