I bought this set of shelves to use as a display cabinet. While pealing the repaint off I found original lettering and Pegasus under the paint.
Any Idea what years this may have been used? Has square nuts and flat head screws holding it together. I'm guessing 60's???
Any pictures of original colors would be great. Looks like white outside with red inside shelves.
Thanks
Dave

...original Mobilgas font with the two-story 'a' is older than that...I'm thinking postwar, late 1940s-early 50s...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

The serif A was used on the pole signs from the early 30's up through 1946.

Thanks for the info! If it is that old I think I'll take it back to original colors.
I haven't had much luck finding a picture of its original look so far.

Another question. Where is the best place to get the decals?
Thanks

The picture with the red "o" was the cabinet before I removed the repaint. The last picture is paint removed and is original paint found underneath.
