Heading to California next month looking for some great Canadian Petro pieces that have trickled across the border. Trying to figure out which swaps to hit. Roy Reeds / Bakersfield or Pomona. I can't do them all. Any suggestions.

Shaker, to post a new thread, click on Forums, then go down the list to the specific forum you that relates to your post ( In your case probably Wanted Petroliana), click on that forum, then click on new thread and a dialogue box should open.

Roy's show is great and Pomona is very close, but is on Sunday, there is also the Fabulous Fords Forever show a bit farther north in Anaheim @ Angeles Stadium. I will be down there, but am unsure if I will go to Pomona Swap or up to the Ford show. What's in Bakersfield and when Something to stop at on the way down?

Last year, I went to Roys Reeds and to Pomona... if you are interested in only antique advertising & petro... I would certainly recommend Roy Reeds over Pomona.
I walked almost the whole Pomona swap and there was almost no antique advertising for sale. I would not go there with the expectation of finding anything interesting in the petroliana space.
Roy Reed's was neat, but quite small... maybe 20 vendors. You can shop everyone's setup within a half hour... but you will certainly find something to go home with.
hope that helps.
