Hello All,

Does this appear to be a factory hole?? I was told the pump is a Wayne 276. Thanks for the help. Andrew

Most likely used to access and connect to a pipe coming out of a buried tank. Attached is a picture of another pump, all be it pretty much toast, with a similar access hole.

There was a steel rod that goes down thru the pump. It went thru two holes of the back side of the access door which kept it in place. Richard
