Apparently there are some knowledgeable people who prefer not to respond to value questions fearing the person posting the request is only fishing for a value to sell it on eBay. If any of you are hesitant to respond to my inquiry on this Esso sign for that reason please see the photo of my garage. I have seven pumps and over fifty signs. Hopefully you consider me a legitimate collector and share your expertise.

Thanks you.

Getting prices from the veterans here is a tough go. Even if you were fishing to sell it on EBay....why should it matter? You would have better luck if you were a member for years (earned your stripes, I suppose). I love the site but I have basically stopped asking and I typically don’t sell anything. I just want to make sure I am paying a fair price.

Also, I did a search on EBay of completed listings. I found the same sign in a little bit better shape. It had a price of $975 and did not sell ($35 shipping).

Hope that helps.

Not an Esso collector and tend not to throw out values. What I think it’s worth may be way off based on what I see in my travels but when I think I have a pretty good feel I will post. A key piece of info not listed is it painted or porcelain?

Thanks to the moderator for correcting my photo. The sign is porcelain. I saw the sign on eBay. Although I'm unsure of it's value I don't think it's anything near $975 plus shipping. I'm guessing maybe $400 tops.
