I’ve spent the day taking apart the Gilbarco 96 I picked up at the auction last weekend. I thought it would be cool to take a picture of all the parts and pieces together in a exploded view type of photo. I had a few nuts and bolts that gave me some issues but for the most part it came apart fairly easily.

Yes, I’ll be giving it a complete restoration it was originally a Esso Extra pump so I plan to bring it back to it’s former glory. I’ll be posting some more pictures to this thread as I go along.

I’ve been working away on the pump for the last few weeks, everything has been blasted and I’ve started to work out the dents on the panels. I just finished cleaning up and coating the manifold as well as stripping the paint off the aluminum veeder root shroud. The computer is cleaned up and ready to go as well. Here’s a picture of the completed manifold.

I’ve been making some progress on the pump and have most of it reassembled. I have a bit of detail work and the doors to put back together yet.

I finished up the Gilbarco 96 today and paired it up with the station lighter I made. I want to thank Jim at Jim’s Garage in New Westminster for offering me a globe from his personal collection after there was another delay from the manufacturer.
