Hi there.

So I’ve recently come across a few pictures of porcelain signs that show the Mobilgas Pegasus and on the sign it says “General”. Is this related to Mobilgas purchasing General Petroleum of California in 1926?

I’m confused as to why the word General would appear on these signs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
