For some reason I have to log on every time I go to OG and many times I even have to log on again just to go to another forum.

Try deleting all cookies,then reboot and log in again and check the box here that says,"Remember me".

"Cold Pizza" is probably right. Sounds like you may have malfunctioning cookies. Cookies are little bits of code that help you stay logged in and show which topics you've already seen. But when they get messed up, they can cause problems.
To delete all your Oldgas.com cookies and start fresh, login, click on your user name on the upper right where you click to login and choose "Cookies" from the drop down menu. Then click on the "Expire Cookies" button. You will then be logged out. Then login and fresh cookies will be set. That should help.
