Good Morning Everyone,

32 and a stiff wind this morning. Our local squirrel has figured out how to get past the squirrel baffle I put up under the bird feeder. Deciding now whether to put out a trap or to make a bigger baffle.

Have a great day out there in Oldgasland

Good morning everyone.

30°, snow/rain and just darn depressing.

Those little guys just don't give up when it comes to figuring out how to get the bird seeds don't they.

We have friends in Wisconsin and they got hit with lots of snow yesterday and were not too happy about it. We just got lots of rain and our backyard is flooded. Ducks and geese are digging though.

Hang in there everyone and have a warm and safe day.

Good morning gang!

I spent the weekend at the cabin. I had a few friends come out and help me put some 16" LVLs in my basement to replace the 2x6 beams. With the new LVLs in place I dont need any posts in the basement to help support the floor upstairs. Winds were very strong while I was there, Sunday AM the snow started, just as my help arrived. We ended up getting the work done and everybody made it home safe last night. I was the last one to leave yesterday afternoon, on my way home I was hitting snow drifts (that I could not see) in the road that actually went over the top of my hood, keep in mind that I drive a 4 inch lifted diesel truck. The first one scared the liven daylights out of me, LOL

Have a good day everybody!

Morning all! North Dakota was blessed and did not receive the big snow storm! It roared across South Dakota and headed NE thru Minnesota and Wisconsin. My son lives in Woodbury on the east side of St. Paul, and he received 15 inches yesterday and it was still snowing last night so I can't say exactly what they received but the pictures showed a lot! I bet Ryan got just as much! LOL
It was a beautiful day here yesterday and the Warden and I did a few things around the house before she went to bingo with her sister. Must have been her lucky day, as she bingo'd 3 times! When she got home, we headed out ice fishing and had pretty good luck. I caught a nice 22 incher and released him to grow up even bigger. After that we managed to lure in 3 nice keepers for the freezer and then headed home for a pizza.
Today is a sun shiny bright day that is supposed to get into the 40's and the rest of the week is supposed to be more of the same. We still have 4 feet of ice on the lake, but if we get a bunch of 40 to 50 degree days, it won't last too long. Sunlight seems to deteriorate that stuff pretty fast.
Hope all is well with the rest of you, Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Me and my old snowplow are getting to be real buddies. I call it a North Dakota storm, snow at 30 MPH or more. I've seen worse but it was right up there toward the top. Been getting lots of TV and puter time. Maple syrup is at a stop and with this big snow I may be done. That Oregon/Wash area looking pretty inviting now. How much snow per yr on west side of the Cascades? That green grass in Tenn. looks inviting too.

Checking in. Mid 50's today with some wind. Terry west side doesn't get much snow, but a couple inches can cause them a lot of problems. Too may people and to much rain on the west side for me. The best weather on the east side of the cascades is in the Pendleton to Walla Walla area. We usually get 3 to 4 snow storms a winter. Usually between 3"-12" inches of snow but will melt of in a couple of days. Summer can get warm with about 10 days of temp over a 100, but it's dry heat. We don't get the humidity. No maple syrup around here though. Hope to get to the shop tomorrow. Richard
